About

A truss shop, on purpose

American Structural Solutions manufactures structural wall panels, roof trusses and floor trusses — the whole frame, from one plant, on one schedule.

Who we are

Built out of a framing background

American Structural Solutions comes out of decades of framing and structural component manufacturing in the Southwest. Our sister company, Tres Nietas, Inc., has been building wall panels since 1999 — more than three million lineal feet of them, across more than ten thousand houses.

American Structural Solutions carries that forward and widens it: wall panels and roof and floor trusses from one plant, so the walls your trusses land on were cut to the same drawings, by the same people, to the same tolerance.

What carries across is the operating principle behind the panel plant: precision is king. A panel that is right in the shop goes up in minutes. A panel that is close enough is a day lost on site.

How we work

Three commitments

Not values on a wall. The three things contractors actually judge a truss supplier on, and what we hold ourselves to on each.

Answer fast

A quote request gets a human reply within one business day, even if the reply is a question. In truss supply, response speed wins more bids than price does, and we would rather tell you what is missing than sit on your plans.

Quote what we build

Our number comes from a takeoff you can check line by line against your plan, not a square-foot rate. If we get something wrong, we own the difference rather than sending a change order.

Ship complete

Sealed drawings, a numbered placement diagram, the connection schedule and the BCSI sheets go out with the load. Your inspector and your crew both get what they need without a phone call.

The plant

Bernalillo, New Mexico

Jigged assembly tables under a covered production bay, a laydown yard sized for full house packages, and a second shift when a schedule calls for it. Panels and trusses are built flat, square and under cover, then banded in erection sequence.

Come and see it. Call ahead and we will walk you down the line — it tells you more about whether a supplier can hold your schedule than any brochure.

Straight answer

When we are not the right call

If your span is short, there are no mechanical runs crossing it and you have joists available locally, dimensional lumber is probably cheaper than a truss package. We will tell you that rather than sell you trusses you do not need.

Same with timing. A truss package needs engineering and approval before anything is cut. If you need material on site this week, we will say so on the first call instead of taking the order and missing the date.

Next step

Send us the plans. We’ll send back a price.

Upload your floor plans or framing drawings and we will come back with a quantified package, a placement diagram and a delivery date.
